Insure the Dream House You Are Building Properly

While building a new house you should pay close attention to the details. But choosing the countertops and cabinet knobs, don’t forget about insuring your property in a proper way, from its foundation to the rafters.
If your home is built in a community by such major builder as Pulte, you shouldn’t bother to haveinsurance coverage as you are not the owner of the house until it is built till the very end and you start living in the settlement. But if you have bought the lot in advance and are building a house on it, you have to care about insurance coverage.
In case the builder has bought the insurance for your future home, you’d better get the certificate ofcomprehensive insurance that includes liability coverage also on the completed construction. For example, in case your floor destroys because of poor construction and your family member is injured, you will be able to ask the insurance of the builder for coverage. The builder’s insurance policy should cover 3 years after the building of the house is completed.
Insurance premiums for the new constructions
Generally, the quantity of home insurance you should buy depends on the rebuilding cost of the completed house. This price is based on the finishes, size and materials that are used while building.
After the house is complete, you shouldn’t forget to contact the insurance company and ask to convert your current insurance policy into a standard home insurance. If you’ll have not liability coverage, you may have troubles in case the construction site accident happens
